Dr. Yousef Sadat-Nejad is a Naturopathic Doctor who incorporates traditional medicine with the best available evidence to deliver a comprehensive treatment plan for each of his patients. He dedicates his time to understanding his patients holistically and combines advanced diagnostic testing to get the most in-depth health information towards effective, evidence-based nutrition and weight management. Sessions involve body composition analysis, nutritional supplementation, herbal medicine, and natural health product recommendations.

About the program

Weight management is about long-term health solutions, not just about the numbers on a scale. Nutrition-based weight management strategies begin with an initial assessment by Dr. Yousef to understand your body, your health journey, as well as your nutritional goals. He will create a personalized plan based on each patient's unique needs. 

The five-month personalised weight management plan includes:

  • A comprehensive 75-min health assessment with a detailed body composition analysis (valued at $180);

  • A detailed meal plan catered to the patient's nutritional goals;

  • Four monthly follow-up sessions (virtual or in-person) to revise nutritional recommendations according to the patient's progress and presenting needs (valued at $120 per session);

  • Personalized physical activity recommendations.

What happens in the first health assessment?

In the first health assessment, we take a deep dive into your health history, current lifestyle, and goals. This includes discussing your diet, exercise, sleep, and stress management habits, as well as any underlying health concerns. We also measure your body composition, including weight, skeletal muscle mass, visceral fat, basal metabolic rate (BMR), and body fat percentage. This comprehensive assessment sets the foundation for a personalized plan to help you achieve your wellness goals.

Does the program follow any particular diet plans?

There isn’t a single diet we follow. Instead, we create a customized plan that combines the most effective strategies from various approaches to help you lose fat. This often includes elements of low-carb, low-fat, and high-protein diets tailored to your specific needs and goals for sustainable results.

Would I need to take vitamins or supplements?

Some supplements might be recommended based on your specific case, such as addressing deficiencies or optimizing certain aspects of your health. However, you can still achieve great results without supplements, as we prioritize creating a nutrition plan that works through whole, nutrient-dense foods.

Do I need a doctor’s note or referral before starting this program?

No, you don’t need a doctor’s note or referral to start this program. As 1 licensed naturopathic doctor, Dr. Yousef is trained to assess and create safe, individualized plans for our patients. However, if you have specific medical conditions, we may collaborate with your primary care physician or specialist to ensure comprehensive care.
